Article: Studio Sara Kraus is now Double Kick

Studio Sara Kraus is now Double Kick

Studio Sara Kraus is now Double Kick

The studio has gone through many changes over the years, as is the natural progression of a brand and a business that's been in existence for nearly 15 years. What started out as a portfolio website for my culinary photography, then for my graphic design work, turned into a storefront for my fine art. And now, it's evolving again - this time into something incredibly exciting.
Those of you that know me personally know how much I love metal music. It's been a constant in my life since childhood, and my love for it only grows stronger with each passing year. While it may seem like a complete left turn for those that only know me online, shifting my business to support that love of intensity and darkness feels incredibly aligned.
Introducing
I started Double Kick last year on a whim, after trying to find clothing, decor, and accessories that supported my love of metal while still maintaining my love for minimalism and beauty. And if you know anything about traditional metal style, you know that's a far cry from what's usually available.
For the last few months the brand has lived on Etsy as a test to see if anyone else out there was looking for the same thing. Turns out they were. So I'm moving it to my website, merging it with my artwork, and expanding it.
The concept behind this new brand will stay much as it was with Studio Sara Kraus: The day to day will still be run by me; I will still continue to paint and have my artwork for sale on the website; and I will still continue to partner with companies and individuals that I love and want to support by carrying their products in my store.
But I'll slowly be adding more products that align with a darker, edgier look to the website over the coming weeks. And as before, with this expanded product line each piece will still be curated or designed by me.
If this shift isn't your cup of tea, that's okay. But I hope you stick with me and enjoy this new journey. 🖤

Until next time,
Sara
