Aether is an exploration of the quintessence - the material that fills the universe beyond the terrestrial sphere. The composition is a visual record of the void, utilizing old-growth pigments and primal markings to capture the transition between the earth and the atmospheric unknown.
Housed in a custom-milled floater frame, hand-stained in a deep, matte ebony. The dark perimeter acts as a physical boundary for the atmospheric light within, anchoring the ethereal linen to the structural world.
Signed and dated by the artist, Sara Kraus. Lightly varnished for protection. Arrives ready to hang.
Dimensions: 36 x 36 inches on gallery-wrapped linen. (Finished dimensions, including frame, are 37 x 37 x 2.5 inches.)
