Cavern

This composition uses deep sapphire and olive green to mirror the experience of a subterranean chamber; a resonant, damp space where the light is filtered through earth and time. A study in the sanctuary of the dark.

— Dimensions: 16 x 20 inches (canvas); 17 x 21 x 2.5 inches (total enclosure).
— Medium: Professional oil on gallery-wrapped canvas.
— Housed in a custom-milled, solid unstained walnut floater frame. The walnut acts as a warm, organic anchor to the work, creating a physical dialogue between the wood and the pigment.
— Signed and dated by the artist, Sara Kraus.
