About this Piece: Based on the line from Sylvia Plath's The Bell Jar, “I took a deep breath and listened to the old brag of my heart. I am, I am, I am.” The text runs vertical, hand-set in faded gothic type, because some declarations shouldn't be easy to read at a glance. (If you have to tilt your head, congratulations, you're already one of us.)

"I'm not someone who buys graphic tees, but I bought this one because it felt less like apparel and more like a statement. Still in my regular rotation and it looks exactly like the day it arrived."

"I've spent years buying things that were almost right. This is the first piece that required zero justification. The weight of it is immediately different from anything else in my wardrobe; I've worn it three times this week."

"It's soft in a way that feels contradictory to how substantial it is. I put it on and the rest of the outfit fell into place. That doesn't happen often."
